UConn reached .500 in football and Maine answered a Friday hockey loss with a Saturday win over Quinnipiac. Here are selected New England Division I results from Oct. 9-10, with official recaps linked for each game.

Football: UConn beat Temple 34-20 in Philadelphia on Oct. 10, improving to 3-3. Trey Cornist rushed for 114 yards and a touchdown, while Kalieb Osborne completed 17 of 23 passes for 257 yards. The Huskies gained 505 yards and shut out Temple in the fourth quarter, according to UConn's recap. After a bye, UConn is scheduled to host UMass on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m.

New Hampshire lost 30-27 in overtime at North Carolina A&T on Oct. 10. Logan Perez caught eight passes for 136 yards and two touchdowns, but Asher Holland's 34-yard overtime field goal won it for North Carolina A&T. UNH fell to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in the CAA. The Wildcats host Monmouth on Oct. 17 at 1 p.m., according to the university's game report.

Men's hockey: Maine beat No. 6 Quinnipiac 5-3 at Alfond Arena on Oct. 10 after losing 2-1 a night earlier. Lee Parks scored the go-ahead goal in the second period, and Max Scott recorded three assists. Maine improved to 2-2; Quinnipiac fell to 3-1. Maine's recap records a 29-23 shots advantage for the Black Bears.

UConn lost 5-2 to Bowling Green in Storrs on Oct. 10 despite a 41-32 shots advantage. Mike Murtagh and Carter Sproule scored for the Huskies. Bowling Green scored four times in the third period, including two empty-net goals. The Huskies fell to 1-1 and host Colorado College beginning Oct. 16, according to its recap.

Women's hockey: Hannah Clarke scored 2:45 into overtime to give Providence a 3-2 win over Boston College on Oct. 10. The Friars led 2-0 after the first period before BC scored once in each of the next two periods. Providence improved to 3-3 and BC fell to 2-1, according to the official box score.

No. 15 Vermont completed a weekend sweep of Franklin Pierce with a 4-0 win Oct. 10 in Winchendon, Massachusetts. Tara Bach made 19 saves, and Gracesyn Louis scored her first NCAA goal in her first regular-season game. The Catamounts improved to 3-1 and next travel to Cornell for games Oct. 16-17, according to Vermont's recap.

Men's soccer: Luis Vetter's 87th-minute goal gave No. 16 Vermont a 1-0 win at UMBC on Oct. 10. Niklas Herceg recorded his eighth shutout of the season. Vermont reached 8-1-3 overall and 2-0-1 in America East play, with New Hampshire scheduled to visit Burlington Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. Vermont's game report includes the match statistics.

Volleyball: UConn beat Seton Hall 3-1 at the UConn Volleyball Center in Storrs on Oct. 10 for its first Big East victory of the season. Sydney Borowy led the Huskies with 17 kills, and Courtney Grayson recorded 11 blocks. Set scores were 25-22, 19-25, 26-24 and 25-14. UConn moved to 8-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play, according to the university's recap.
