I-95 drivers face overnight closures at the Route 10 interchange in Providence and Cranston starting Oct. 16, with demolition scheduled across three weekends.

On Friday night, Oct. 16, and Saturday night, Oct. 17, up to two lanes in each direction will close by 10 p.m., with full closures at midnight. Southbound lanes reopen by 5 a.m. and northbound lanes by 7 a.m. the next morning, according to the Rhode Island Department of Transportation's advisory.

On Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 23 and 24, southbound I-95 closes at midnight and reopens by 7 a.m. the next morning. Northbound restrictions affect the two left lanes. On Friday and Saturday nights, Oct. 30 and 31, three southbound lanes close at midnight, with no northbound closures planned. All lanes reopen by 7 a.m. the next morning.

Route 10 ramps also close from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on all three weekends. RIDOT estimates detour delays of 15 to 20 minutes. Drivers can consult its detour maps before leaving.
