New Hampshire producers have until Nov. 20 to apply for the current funding round of a federal conservation partnership focused on water quality and habitat, the Natural Resources Conservation Service announced Oct. 9.
TheNRCS noticeidentifies Regional Conservation Partnership Program project 3446. It supports stream and forest restoration in Coos County and the Connecticut River watershed in Cheshire, Grafton and Sullivan counties.
The listed conservation concerns include plant condition, aquatic and terrestrial habitat, and losses of sediment, nutrients and pathogens to water.
NRCS accepts applications throughout the year, but Nov. 20 is the deadline for consideration in this funding round. Applying does not by itself guarantee funding.
Producers can contact a USDA Service Center about eligibility and an application. The announcement lists Jessica Rock as the project contact atJessica.rock@usda.govor 603-923-3694.
