Providence is seeking a contractor to drain and clean 490 feet of stormwater pipe at Public Street after water and debris blocked an earlier camera inspection.

The 38-inch pipe runs between Allens Avenue and the Providence River. The city's solicitation says tidal and stormwater conditions left it underwater, while sediment and debris prevented camera access.

The work would allow a complete video inspection to guide decisions about maintenance or replacement. The contractor would remove debris and document the pipe's condition, including damaged areas and signs of water infiltration.

The city lists Oct. 19 at 2:15 p.m. as the proposal deadline. Its solicitation calls for completion within three months of an agreement, with work planned around tides and rain.
