Medicare beneficiaries in Coos and Carroll counties will be able to select 2027 Medicare Advantage plans from Devoted Health beginning Nov. 1, Gov. Kelly Ayotte's office announced.
The Oct. 22 state notice advises people who want to consider those plans to wait until Nov. 1 before enrolling. Medicare's annual enrollment period runs from Oct. 15 through Dec. 7.
Medicare Advantage plans are offered by private insurers through the federal Medicare program. Plan availability and terms vary by county.
The New Hampshire Insurance Department does not set federal Medicare Advantage payments or require an insurer to offer a plan. Its consumer advisory includes county-level availability information.
Residents can get free, impartial Medicare counseling through ServiceLink at 1-866-634-9412. Medicare also provides plan information at 1-800-MEDICARE and Medicare.gov.
