Find and follow public meetings in New England

Where to find notices, check an agenda, and follow what a public body decides.

Find a meeting

Start with the public body making the decision: a city council, school board, planning commission, or state agency. Search its official website for meeting notices, agendas, and minutes.

The Signal's public meeting listings can help you discover a meeting by state, town, or date. Each listing links to its source. For a meeting outside our listings, use the official resources below or the public body's website.

Before you attend

Check the latest official notice for the date, time, location, and any online access instructions. Read the agenda and linked materials to see whether the issue you want to follow is listed.

If you want to speak or submit written comments, look for the body's participation instructions, registration steps, and deadlines. Ask the organizer about access arrangements you need. Recheck the source before leaving or joining online for cancellations or changes.

After the meeting

Return to the public body's website for minutes, recordings, decisions, and the next agenda as they become available. Keep the document links and the meeting date so you can follow a proposal from discussion to a vote.

If the records raise a question The Signal should investigate, send a reporting lead with the public body's name, meeting date, and relevant source links.
