Addie DelOrefice scored both goals in Vermont's 2-0 field hockey victory at Dartmouth on Sept. 27, giving the Catamounts their fourth consecutive win ahead of conference play.

The result at Chase Field in Hanover, New Hampshire, improved Vermont to 7-1. Dartmouth fell to 2-5. DelOrefice's performance was the second multiple-goal game of her college career.

Vermont took an early lead when DelOrefice finished a loose ball 3 minutes, 27 seconds into the match. The Catamounts kept Dartmouth from registering a shot on target in the first half and carried the one-goal advantage into the break.

The second goal came at 35:14 on a penalty corner. Emily Enden inserted the ball, Fiona McMahon supplied the pass, and DelOrefice redirected it into the goal. McMahon's assist was her sixth of the season.

Vermont earned 12 penalty corners to Dartmouth's four. The second-half corner goal doubled the lead without requiring a change of scorer: DelOrefice accounted for all of the Catamounts' scoring in the shutout.

The schedule now moves Vermont into America East competition. Its conference opener is at New Hampshire at 3 p.m. on Oct. 2, at Memorial Field in Durham. The game is scheduled for America East TV.

The Catamounts then return to Moulton Winder Field in Burlington for a noon game against Queens on Oct. 4. The university's schedule also lists home matches against UMass Lowell at 3 p.m. on Oct. 9 and Appalachian State at 11 a.m. on Oct. 11.
