Connecticut insurance regulators and industry participants will meet in Hartford on Oct. 29 to discuss how artificial intelligence, climate risks and changing household needs are affecting insurance.
The Connecticut Insurance Department and Connecticut Insurance & Financial Services are organizing Insuring the Future 2026. The program begins at 1 p.m., followed by a reception at 4:15 p.m., according to the department's Oct. 23 announcement.
One panel will examine artificial intelligence in insurance, including cybersecurity, privacy and consumer-protection questions. Another will address the affordability and availability of coverage as insurers respond to climate and catastrophe risks.
A third discussion will consider how longevity, wellness and retirement planning are changing what customers need from insurance.
The department describes the gathering as a forum for regulators, insurers, technology specialists and policymakers.
The event is at the Hartford Marriott Downtown, 200 Columbus Blvd. The event's registration page, run by MetroHartford Alliance, lists general admission at $275. Its overall event window begins at 12:30 p.m.; the program agenda starts at 1 p.m.
