The Head of the Charles Regatta continues Oct. 17-18 along the Charles River in Boston and Cambridge, with organizers warning that parking for spectators, athletes and volunteers is extremely limited.

The official parking guide lists about 500 spaces at Harvard Stadium through Gate 14 off eastbound Soldiers Field Road. Parking costs $40 per day and is cashless. Listed hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

The guide also directs visitors toward Alewife parking and the Red Line to Harvard Square. Check current MBTA service notices before choosing that route.

The spectator guide identifies the Weld Exhibition for food and merchandise and the finish-line Rowing and Fitness Expo for vendors and rowing-machine activities. Hospitality areas have their own arrangements; consult the organizer's guide before planning around a particular enclosure.
