Drivers on Interstate 95 northbound in Warwick and Cranston should expect a new traffic pattern beginning Wednesday night, Oct. 14, near the Jefferson Boulevard off-ramp, Exit 31C.

All northbound lanes will shift slightly to the right, the Rhode Island Department of Transportation said in its Oct. 9 advisory. The pattern is expected to remain for about two months. Southbound lanes are not changing under this shift.

The work supports bridge demolition and reconstruction where I-95 crosses the Pawtuxet River. It is part of the I-95 15 Bridges project on I-95 and Route 10 between Providence and Warwick. RIDOT says nine of the bridges are structurally deficient.
