Maine transportation officials have opened an online public comment period on proposed replacements of five Interstate 95 bridges in Sidney and Waterville.
The formal comment window runs from Oct. 21 through Nov. 6. An on-demand presentation lets residents review the proposal at a time they choose and submit questions and comments for Maine Department of Transportation staff.
The department identifies the work as project 029486.00. The meeting notice is an opportunity for public input on proposed replacements, rather than an announcement that construction has started.
Questions can also be directed to project manager Julie Brask at 207-592-0944 or Julie.Brask@maine.gov. Written correspondence can be addressed to Brask at MaineDOT, 24 Child St., 16 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0016.
The notice links to the department's active public-meeting map and information about accessibility accommodations. Drivers should consult the project presentation for design details and any proposed traffic arrangements.
