The Manchester City Marathon returns Sunday, Nov. 8, with road closures and traffic delays planned across downtown and along the race route.
Millennium Running's traffic notice lists an 8:50 a.m. race start and warns of route disruptions from about 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Some restrictions begin earlier or last longer.
The notice lists closures or delays on Elm Street between Bridge and Granite streets from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on McGregor, Bremer and Electric streets from 8 to 10 a.m. Other restrictions affect bridges, trails and additional streets.
Organizers advise reaching downtown from Interstate 293 Exit 6 at Amoskeag Bridge or Exit 4 at Queen City Avenue, rather than Exit 5 at Granite Street.
The event includes a marathon, half marathon, relay and 5K. Residents, spectators and runners should consult the race page and route notice for their specific destination.
