New Hampshire environmental officials will hold a regional PFAS meeting Nov. 16 in Merrimack to update residents on contamination investigations and alternative water projects connected with the former Saint-Gobain facility.

The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the all-purpose room at James Mastricola Upper Elementary School, 26 Baboosic Lake Road. The state's flyer, posted with Hudson's Oct. 21 notice, invites residents of Merrimack, Bedford, Litchfield, Londonderry and Hudson.

Officials plan to introduce PFAS, review the history of environmental investigations and describe the current status of alternate water projects. PFAS is short for per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, a group of manufactured chemicals.

The meeting will provide a status update. It does not announce that every affected property has been connected to a new water supply or that the regional investigation is complete.

Merrimack has also posted the meeting. Residents can find state background materials at New Hampshire's PFAS response website. The flyer does not promise a livestream or remote participation, so people needing those options should check with the Department of Environmental Services before the meeting.
