Vermont Health Connect opens enrollment for 2027 health plans on Sunday, Nov. 1, with the enrollment period ending Dec. 28.
The state marketplace's enrollment guidance distinguishes two coverage dates. People who sign up by Dec. 15 can have coverage begin Jan. 1. Those enrolling Dec. 16-28 will have coverage begin Feb. 1.
The marketplace has a 2027 plan comparison tool for reviewing available coverage. Existing customers can update their information and compare plans; new customers can apply during the same open-enrollment period.
These dates apply to open enrollment for private qualified health plans sold through the marketplace. Medicaid enrollment is available throughout the year for eligible people. The state's guidance also describes year-round Silver-plan enrollment for people qualifying for certain help with out-of-pocket medical costs.
Certain changes such as losing coverage, marriage or moving to Vermont may create a separate enrollment opportunity. Most special enrollment periods last 60 days after the change. Help is available at 855-899-9600.
