Newport's Bowen's Wharf Seafood Festival returns Oct. 17-18 with seafood vendors and live music on the waterfront.

The 35th annual festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days, rain or shine, according to the organizer's event page. Admission is free, while food and drinks cost extra.

The advertised menu includes lobster rolls, chowder, calamari, oysters and stuffed clams. Saturday's music lineup includes the Grafters, Motion Ave and Angelus Hall; Sunday's includes Blistering Ego, Nena Belen and the Ravers.

Bike racks are planned at Market Square near the food trucks and the entrance to the Newport Harbor Hotel parking area. Service animals are permitted inside festival tents. A portion of bar proceeds will benefit Child & Family, according to the organizer.
