Connecticut nonprofit health and human-service providers can apply for a share of $19.5 million in state money for building, equipment and technology upgrades, under a grant round that opened Oct. 27.

Applications are due Jan. 5, 2027, with awards expected in the spring, Gov. Ned Lamont's office said in its announcement. The Office of Policy and Management administers the Nonprofit Grant Program.

The grants pay for capital investments, such as renovated facilities or new equipment, rather than the everyday cost of delivering services. Eligible projects include construction and property purchases, accessibility and safety improvements, energy efficiency, computer systems and vehicles needed to serve clients.

Technology that helps clients live more independently can also qualify.

This is the program's ninth round. The state says the first eight rounds awarded about $166 million to more than 700 projects, and the new funding brings the amount made available since 2013 to more than $185 million.

Application instructions are available through the program webpage and the CTsource procurement portal.
