Rhode Islanders shopping for 2027 health insurance can begin enrolling through HealthSource RI on Sunday, Nov. 1, with special telephone assistance available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The contact center is at 1-855-840-4774. In-person appointments will not be available Sunday, according to HealthSource RI's notice.
The state's insurance marketplace lets eligible households compare plans and seek financial help with monthly premiums. Its enrollment information gives Jan. 31, 2027, as the end of this enrollment period.
HealthSource RI encourages returning customers to compare plans even if their current plan has been renewed for 2027, saying premiums and assistance levels are expected to change because of federal actions.
A plan's premium is the recurring price of coverage. Other costs, including deductibles and charges when receiving care, can differ substantially, so the lowest monthly price alone does not show the full cost of a plan.
Free enrollment counselors, called Navigators, can help residents apply or renew. HealthSource RI lists appointments through its website and says residents can call 211 to arrange one. Sunday phone hours are a special opening-day service, rather than the center's regular weekly schedule.
