New Hampshire has joined 44 other states and territories seeking court approval of settlements with Ascend Laboratories, Citron Pharma and Mayne Pharma in generic-drug antitrust litigation.

Attorney General John Formella's office announced the agreements Oct. 8. The states allege that manufacturers coordinated prices and restricted competition. The agreements remain subject to court approval.

The three agreements focus primarily on internal reforms and other requirements intended to protect competition. They should not be confused with the $496.5 million total the states report from earlier settlements with other manufacturers.

The states say the first trial in the litigation is scheduled for February 2027.
