Strawbery Banke Museum's Ghosts on the Banke has its final two nights Friday and Saturday, Oct. 23 and 24, with timed arrival windows and no general parking on the museum grounds.

The Portsmouth event offers arrival from 5 to 5:59 p.m. or from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Each night ends at 8 p.m. Tickets are tied to the selected date and window, and the museum recommends buying in advance because slots can sell out.

Regular admission is $17. Members receive discounts or complimentary tickets according to membership level, and children younger than 1 enter free.

Activities are designed particularly for children ages 4 to 8, although all ages are welcome. The program includes trick-or-treating at historic houses, stories, games and music. Projections of historical figures are new to the 2026 event.

The museum describes the event as spooky rather than frightening. Family-appropriate costumes are encouraged.

Visitors should allow walking time from nearby parking. Limited accessible spaces are available on a first-come basis for vehicles displaying a valid disability plate or placard. The museum's website links to parking options and its ticket rules.
