The Providence School Board has scheduled a special meeting Wednesday, Oct. 28, that includes consideration of settling union grievances over Extended School Year pay.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in third-floor School Board rooms B and C at 797 Westminster St., according to the posted notice.
The agenda says the board may enter executive session, a portion closed to the public, to discuss and approve a settlement of Providence Teachers Union members' grievances over Extended School Year pay.
It also lists private discussions of the job performance of four educators seeking district leadership positions and the performance of board members. The posted agenda does not identify the educators or set out a proposed settlement amount.
A report on executive-session votes is listed before adjournment.
Families and employees following the pay issue should check the meeting portal for any revised agenda and, afterward, the board's reported actions.
