David and Amanda Guildner are opening Union 66 Kitchen & Bar at 164 Main St. in Portland, Connecticut, in the former HopKnot space. They call it an elevated dive bar. The menu is burgers, wings, and sandwiches, with 15 taps of craft beer.
The owners said a soft opening is set for Oct. 7 and a grand opening for Oct. 14.
