Klaviyo, the Boston-based marketing software company, has laid off workers in design and other roles, according to employee LinkedIn posts and an Oct. 1 report by the Boston Business Journal. Some workers learned of the reorganization Sept. 28, the publication reported.
Employees who disclosed losing their jobs included a senior product expert and the company’s director of employer brand. Another affected employee, Natasha Lloyd, wrote that she had spent three years at Klaviyo working on design systems, internal tools and the design organization’s working practices.
The total number of jobs eliminated, including how many were based in Boston, could not be independently confirmed.
The cuts follow a separate restructuring of Klaviyo’s research and development organization about a year earlier that affected fewer than 100 employees, according to the Business Journal.
Klaviyo reported second-quarter revenue of $370.6 million, up 26% from a year earlier, in its Aug. 5 earnings release. It also reported a $15 million operating loss for the quarter.
