New Hampshire's 2026 Seven to Save list includes town halls, churches, a closed bridge and Portsmouth waterfront buildings, drawing attention to repair needs and questions about how to keep historic properties in use.

The New Hampshire Preservation Alliance announced the selections Oct. 20 at the Epsom Meetinghouse. The nonprofit selects places it considers threatened and profiles efforts to preserve them.

Bethlehem Town Hall and Lisbon Town Hall and Opera House make up one paired selection. The alliance identifies water damage and deteriorating entrance features in Bethlehem and deferred maintenance and underused space in Lisbon.

The other North Country selection is the Great North Woods Center for the Arts in Columbia, where the group points to roof and window repairs, accessibility work and stabilization of an older barn.

Also named are Woodbury Memorial Methodist Episcopal Church in Antrim, First Congregational Church in Haverhill and South Weare Union Church. The alliance describes different combinations of water damage, structural repairs and funding needs at the three buildings.

Exeter's Park Street Bridge, closed after a deck failure in February 2025, is another selection. In Portsmouth, the group chose the Sheafe Warehouse, Shaw Warehouse and Marine Railway Building in Prescott Park, citing flooding and rising-water risks.
