Providence residents can receive free admission to the Museum of Natural History and its planetarium in Roger Williams Park on Nov. 7 under the city's first-Saturday program.

The city requires proof of residency, according to the museum's admission page. Residents can reserve free planetarium tickets in person, subject to availability; free admission does not guarantee a seat.

The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with last admission at 3:30 p.m. The city lists the Sky Views planetarium show at 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 and 8.

Everyone attending the planetarium needs a ticket. Children must be at least 4, and those ages 4 to 15 must attend with an adult. Visitors should arrive at least 15 minutes early because there is no entry after the show begins.

General admission is $2 for the museum and $5 for the planetarium show, including museum admission. Members and children under 4 get free museum admission. The museum is at 1000 Elmwood Ave.; questions can go to 401-680-7221.
