Rhode Island transportation officials say no additional overnight Interstate 95 closures are needed at the Route 10 interchange for the demolition work completed over the weekend of Oct. 17.
The Department of Transportation's Oct. 20 update applies to the Exit 33 interchange in Cranston and Providence. The contractor finished the scheduled demolition during the preceding weekend.
The change does not mean the interchange project is finished. RIDOT says a later phase may require similar closures later this year and promises advance notice if those are scheduled.
The work is part of the I-95 15 Bridges project between Providence and Warwick. At the Huntington Viaduct, the department is rebuilding the Route 10 and I-95 interchange.
Drivers should check current RIDOT advisories for lane restrictions and other work.
