Republican Phil Scott won reelection as Vermont governor, according to a race call by The Associated Press posted at 12:35 a.m. Nov. 4. Molly Gray led the lieutenant governor count and Becca Balint led the U.S. House race in the state's unofficial returns.

The Secretary of State's election-night reporting site displayed 244 of 247 towns reporting and a 2:26 a.m. Nov. 4 update. The site labeled the results unofficial. A media race call does not certify those totals.

Scott had 160,813 votes to Amanda Janoo's 140,665, a lead of 20,148. The portal lists Janoo under both the Democratic and Progressive labels. Independent Brian Judd had 2,582 votes, Peace and Justice candidate June Goodband 1,229 and Freedom and Unity candidate Dean Roy 1,131.

In the lieutenant governor race, Democrat Gray had 189,841 votes and Republican John Rodgers had 111,885. Their difference in the posted count was 77,956 votes.

Democrat Balint had 197,546 votes in the U.S. House election, compared with Republican Gerald Malloy's 93,351. Independents Suzanne "Suz" Seymour, Ryan Walton, Phoenix Altair and Adam Ortiz had 4,330, 2,672, 2,338 and 2,175 votes, respectively.

The portal reports blank votes and overvotes separately from candidate totals. An overvote is a ballot marked for more candidates than the office allows. The 244 towns are not a measure of the share of votes counted because towns have different numbers of voters.
