Jaswell's Farm in Smithfield is open Wednesday through Monday for its market, bakery and pick-your-own fields. The farm asks visitors to call ahead because picking depends on weather and supply.
The farm's visitor page lists market and bakery hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pick-your-own runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the same days. The farm is closed Tuesdays.
The farm says apple picking should extend through most of October and pumpkin picking through October. With the season near that point, call 401-231-9043 for current availability before driving out to pick.
Jaswell's is at 50 Swan Road. The market and bakery sell the farm's apples and vegetables, pies, pastries and apple cider doughnuts, along with hot and iced cider.
