Providence Children's Museum will offer a Free Day of Play on Saturday, Oct. 24, sponsored by the Rhode Island Department of Health.
The museum's October calendar lists the free event on that date, and its visitor page gives hours of 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The museum is at 100 South St.
The same calendar lists Maker Studio: Bones, an activity about bones and skeletons. Exhibits available at the museum include Water Ways, LittleWoods, ThinkSpace and the Children's Garden.
The visitor page offers online reservations and says walk-up tickets are limited. Families should check the booking page for the Oct. 24 admission option; the museum's normal $20 admission price should not be confused with the advertised free day.
Parking is free in the museum lot, though the museum warns that it fills quickly on busy days. Metered spaces are available on nearby streets.
The Saturday free day is separate from the museum's Boo Bash on Friday, Oct. 23, which is an after-hours event advertised at $25 per person with preregistration required.
