Lou Umberto's Italian Kitchen plans to open a second Cranston storefront, at 2170 Broad St. in Pawtuxet Village, in 2027, according to an announcement on the business's website.
The announcement does not give a specific opening date. It invites customers to sign up for an email with the date once it is set.
The existing shop, at 1606 Cranston St., sells pizza, pasta, fresh-baked bread, prepared foods, housemade sausage, grinders and calzones, along with a gourmet market and an Italian wine selection. Its website also lists catering and a pizza truck.
According to the website, Lou Umberto opened in Cranston in 2017 after graduating from Johnson & Wales University with degrees in culinary arts and food service entrepreneurship.
