New Hampshire's election hotline received approximately 277 calls on Election Day, Nov. 3, but Attorney General John Formella's office said it received no credible allegations of election interference.
The office's Nov. 5 operations report said callers primarily raised questions and concerns about long lines, heavy turnout, new-voter registration and electioneering, meaning campaigning at or near polling places.
More than 50 attorneys, investigators and other state employees were deployed to polling locations. The office said inspectors were scheduled to visit every polling place and worked with local officials to address problems.
The report said Laconia police are investigating an alleged assault involving an individual affiliated with Turning Point Action at the Woodland Heights polling location in Ward 5, and that the incident resulted in an arrest Nov. 4. It did not name the person arrested, state a charge or say whether the affiliated individual was the alleged victim or the accused.
The office said Election Day operations overall proceeded without significant disruption to election administration and that most hotline issues were resolved that day with local election officials.
