The Providence School Board has scheduled a Nov. 5 special meeting that includes a closed-session discussion of administrators being considered for interim superintendent.

The filed agenda sets the meeting for 5:30 p.m. in the third-floor School Board Rooms B and C at 797 Westminster St.

The agenda says members may enter executive session, a portion closed to the public under the cited personnel provisions of state law, to discuss the job performance of administrators being considered for the interim role. It does not name those administrators or list an open-session vote appointing an interim superintendent.

A separate closed-session item concerns an unnamed administrator whose employment could be ended for cause and proposed settlements involving two teachers. Those listings describe matters for consideration, rather than findings against the people involved.

The open-session agenda includes reporting closed-session votes, a possible preliminary decision to end an administrator's employment and possible amendments to the board's bylaws.
